Invited by the School of Fine Arts of Huaiyin Normal University, the Saranto Sino Italian Cultural Exchange Association, along with Andrea Rollo, Dean of Leche Academy of Fine Arts, and Tiziano Margiotta, Professor of Art Theory, visited Huaiyin Normal University in a friendly manner from June 26 to June 28. The leaders, including Shi Jun, Vice President of the Party Committee Standing Committee of Huaiyin Normal University, and Gu Weiguo, Dean of the School of Fine Arts, warmly welcomed the visit. The two sides had in-depth friendly exchanges and signed a letter of intent for Sino Italian education cooperation, agreeing to reach a consensus on education study abroad, student professor exchange, and artistic and cultural exchange in the future, promoting and strengthening cooperation in science and academia.

Study Abroad Promotion Conference

At the Art and Design Training Center on the third floor of Zongbei, Professors Rollo and Margiotta, the Dean of the Italian Academy of Fine Arts, and the Saranto Sino Italian Cultural Exchange Association, held an Italian study abroad lecture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Huaiyin Normal University. Attending this lecture were Gu Weiguo, Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts, Su Mei, Vice Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts, as well as teachers, students, and parents.

Firstly, Dean Gu introduced Dean Rollo and Professor Margiotta to everyone. The students warmly welcomed the guests from afar with applause. Then, Dean Gu explained that the purpose of this lecture is to help students understand the artistic atmosphere in Italy, broaden their international perspective, and provide diverse options for further education.

Subsequently, Dean Rollo introduced the situation of the Leicester Academy of Fine Arts to everyone. The Leicester Academy of Fine Arts is located in southern Italy and was established in 1960. The majors offered include painting art, media art design, sculpture art, theater space design, protection and restoration of artistic heritage, enterprise art design, new art technologies, and shared the customs, culture, and history of Italy. The students listened attentively and actively exchanged ideas, and the atmosphere on site was lively.

Finally, the event leader gave a presentation on the Italian study abroad program, providing a detailed introduction to the specific process of studying abroad and answering questions for the students present. This study abroad promotion will allow students to further understand the situation of art learning in Europe, which is a great opportunity for students who want to further their studies overseas.
